This is a quote that begins a book that my friend Carol blessed me with today. She had the cutest little boys from her class bring it to me with a sweet and encouraging note. I have been trying to guard my words in a particular situation, however, I know I need to always be wise in waiting to speak. James 1:19 says, "So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;..." I will continue to seek the Lord to guard my words, but then, I also need to ask Him to guard my heart. If my heart is hard or I am wanting to speak what is weighing heavy on it, eventually it will come out. So I need to always be looking to Him to help me. "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14
Sis I know exactly what you mean I have to pray that the Lord always be my filter but also be able to share about those things that really need to come out or that the Lord may be pushing me to share but I'm not bold enough to do on my own. Thank you for sharing Sis, love you!!
