So I was just now thinking about this last week of Vacation Bible School and how God took care of everything. He put a stop to our attitudes and stress within the first hour on Monday morning and I believe that set the tone for the whole week. The Lord kept us joyful and the lack of stress showed on our faces. Even when there were times that we should have worried, we knew the Lord was in control. One lesson the Lord taught me was to make sure I ship everything overnight or at lease 2 Day through UPS. Even in that situation, where we were waiting on Labels for our check in system (that has to have special types of labels) we didn't worry. The Lord provided through Canyon Ridge Christian Fellowship because they use the same kind and had plenty in stock. Praise the Lord! Calvary Chapel Green Valley would have let us use theirs if we used the same kind. It was just cool to see the whole Body of Christ working together and helping each other out.
I think we often learn things as believers and often we forget those same things throughout our lives. I find myself learning and re-learning constantly, and I could get discouraged, but I think that is natural. It's like remembering if the earth revolves around the sun or vice-versa, or any number of facts that we learn over the years. It's that constant reminder that we need. It's the fact that we need to be applying everything we learn so that it fresh on our minds.
I know that the Lord takes care of everything that He has called us to do, but I need to be put in situations constantly to remind me that He is in control.
Thank You Lord for taking control of VBS. Thank You that the Body of Christ worked together for Your glory. Thank You for reminding us of who You are and for loving us for who we are.
