The Lord has called me to go with my Best Friends, Greg and Angela Stephens, to North Carolina. Right now it looks like we will be living in or near Raleigh, but are open to being moved in other areas if the Lord wills. The desire is to go and see where we are needed and seek the Lord as to whether we will plant a church, start a Bible Study, reach out to those in the community, or whatever He wants us to do.
I know the Lord is the One who is telling me to go and serve with my friends. He has confirmed it in many different ways. First, by giving me a heart and a vision to be a part of the ministry He has called them too. The Lord used times of prayer to reveal to me His desire. He has also used the Body of Christ, my brothers and sisters, to confirm and encourage and agree with this decision. I have many trusted advisors in my life, that I trust have counseled me rightly and who I know spend time with the Lord.
As Paul experienced in ministry, there were times that he went one way and then the Lord moved him another way. I am willing to go and move wherever the Lord directs and I know He is in control of my life.
I look forward to what is going to happen next in my life. I want to see the Lord use me and teach me and form me more and more in His image. I am also nervous and filled with various emotions. I have lived in Las Vegas for 27years. Most of my life! It is going to be weird going to a place that I have never known. It's not even like a mission trip to me because I will not be coming back in a few weeks like I would when I have gone to the Philippines or to Mexico. These are just some things that are popping up in my head as I prepare to leave.
