I'm Here!!!

Ok...so I delayed in updating my blog when we arrived. We pulled in to 4405 Greenbrier Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603 on Friday, December 17th. It was so nice to see my good friends, Greg, Angela and James Stephens. James was so excited to see me and gave me a good squeeze. I missed him so much. We had a good time of fellowship and then went over to Hope Cafe for the Open Mic Night. Being with them among other believers felt like we had never been apart.

The next day we drove around and looked at some of the key places I should become familiar with. There is a nice park in Downtown Raleigh where the homeless hang out, so that is a great place to reach out with the Love of Jesus to those who are alone.

We headed back to our area and ate at a yummy pizza place and then went home before bringing my mom to the airport for her 7:59pm flight back to Vegas. I was so blessed to have her come with me on this trip.

On Sunday, I slept in and then went for a drive. I wasn't sure what I really wanted to do so I drove in circles for awhile before stopping at Target and trying to become familiar with the one mile radius around our neighborhood.

We are going to begin gathering together as a family on Sunday nights. Last night we prayed and then watched an old youtube video of Jim Cymbala called "The Anointing of God" that he shared at some kind of conference. It was very convicting. We discussed it a little bit and then prayed again. It was nice to be joining together again with my brother and sister in that kind of fellowship.

Today, Angela, James and I went around to a few places and are now hanging out at home. I might drive over to Hope Cafe in a bit to hang out there.
